Toyota Celica Turbocharger

The turbo is actually only one small part of a large system; intercooler layout,
plumbing, intake manifold design, all play an important role in how well the system
will perform. The more efficient the system is, the faster the turbo will respond,
if there is a restriction anywhere, the turbo has to overcome that restriction.
That takes time, and time is lag. The turbocharger in the Celica is available
in many after market parts dealer. But some modifications are considered illegal
in some states.
While a turbo's power-making potential is undisputed, a lot of people are hesitant
to use a turbo (or turbos) because they believe they are hard to manage in a drag-racing
application. The turbocharger increases the intake of gas into the internal combustion
of the engine allowing it to increase its power thus giving more speed to the
car.
