Toyota Celica GT 4
Toyotas Flagship carrier in the rally department, The GT 4 has won many competitions
inspiring many car enthusiasts to start their own GT 4 Rally clubs. Designed from
the beginning to be the root for a Toyota Works Rally Car, the GT-4 is powered
by a 2 liter DOHC turbocharged engine, using a liquid cooled intercooler and is
capable of producing a ground trembling 255 horsepower.
This power is efficiently transmitted to all four wheels with a full-time 4WD
system, which has become customary for today's successful rally cars. Front suspension
uses super-struts for improved handling and stability, and mounts large diameter
spiral-finned ventilated disc brakes with a "G" sensor ABS (anti-lock brake system)
that provides positive stopping power even under the most adverse road conditions.
All this power and style is sophistically wrapped in an aerodynamically shaped
casing showcasing four irregularly shaped head lamps and countless air intakes
for cooling purposes. The accentuated Coke-Bottle shaped side panel and its elevated
aerodynamic rear wing provides both performance advantages and a bold exterior
to this pedigree sports car.
